DR 97-243 INDIAN MOUND WATER COMPANY Order Adopting Procedural Schedule O R D E R N O. 22,874 March 18, 1998 Appearances: Mary Ellen Goggin, Esq. for Indian Mound Water Company; James L. Lenihan for the Staff of the Public Utilities Commission. On December 18, 1997, Indian Mound Water Company (Indian Mound) filed with the New Hampshire Public Utilities Commission (Commission) a proposed tariff seeking an increase in annual revenue of approximately $15,294, which represents an increase of 143% over current rates. On January 19, 1998, the Commission issued Order No. 22,837 which suspended the proposed tariff, scheduled a prehearing conference for February 17, 1998, and established deadlines for intervention and for objections thereto. At the prehearing conference, Indian Mound and Staff were given the opportunity to make preliminary statements of position. Staff indicated that a thorough investigation was necessary prior to the Commission rendering a decision on the proposed rate increase and that Staff would investigate issues regarding plant additions, operation and maintenance costs, rate of return, metering and management contracts. At the prehearing conference, moreover, Indian Mound and Staff agreed to the following procedural schedule: First Set of Data Requests March 3, 1998 By Staff Company Data Responses March 12, 1998 Second Set of Data Requests by Staff March 19, 1998 Company Data Responses March 26, 1998 Testimony by Staff April 16, 1998 Settlement Conference at 10:00 A.M. April 24, 1998 Settlement Agreement to Commission, May 1, 1998 if any Hearing at 1:30 P.M. May 19, 1998 We find the proposed procedural schedule as delineated above to be reasonable and we will order it for the duration of the case. Based upon the foregoing, it is hereby ORDERED, that the proposed procedural schedule delineated above is approved.
