The Commission is reviewing the efforts of each New Hampshire electric utility company with respect to preparation, response and restoration of service following the December 11-12, 2008 ice storm. A thorough examination of a utility’s management of its emergency planning, preparedness, outage response, and power restoration operations will be conducted to assess utility performance and identify opportunities for improvement. To the extent that telephone and water customers were affected by the ice storm or by power outages, the review will also consider telecommunications and water company preparedness and response to the storm.
